State one way the immune system is involved in the rejection of transplanted organs

Your immune system fights off illness, which is basically a virus, or whatever invades your body. so, i think it would see the transplanted organ as an invading virus, and would attack it, i'm pretty sure they give people who have gone through transplants immune suppressing medication.
