What are the green structures in the cytoplasm of elodea cells? What do they do?

    The green structures in elodea plant cells are known as chloroplasts. They are green due to the presence of the green pigment chlorophyll and it is the chloroplasts in plant cells which carry out the process by which a plant makes sugar, photosynthesis.
