Why it might be important to be able to remove DNA from as organism?

    These DNA may have some important characteristics when active in a living cell. For example, a certain animal is immune to cancer, one of the worlds leading causes of death. When you isolate the gene required for this to happen and merge it with human genes, this would make humans immune to cancer. Isnt that beneficial to mankind?
