Lifting techniques are techniques used to control manual task risks in the workplace.
Effective lifting technique is a lifting technique with proactive and holistic approach that involves workers in the risk management process, because the workers know their job best and are experts in performing their work tasks. In an effective lifting technique the hazardous manual tasks are identified, the risk is assesed, controls are implemented and the situation is m onitored and reviewed.
When speaking about proper and effective lifting technique of a hravy object, there are several things that must be done: you should warm up before the lifting, you should stand close to load, bend your knees, grip the load and lower load in reverse.
