Industrial control systems also known as ICS control locally or at remote locations by collecting, monitoring, and processing real-time data so that machines can directly control devices such as valves, pumps, and motors without the need for human intervention.

These systems are highly complex and work to do many tasks needed by an organization to make due without human operations. These are expensive to set up at first, but keep costs of employees down daily, monthly and yearly. Like anything, error can arise but there is less room for malfunctions over human error.
