    Commission that a salesman earned = 1/5 more than ¼ as high as the highest commission earned

    Highest and lowest commission = $819

    What was the lowest commission? Let x be the highest commission

    Solution will be:

    1.2 (1/4x) + x = $819

    1.3x = $819

    x = $630

    819 - 630 = $189 is the lowest commission
