I would say that caralee is demonstrating devotion to Ramadan and faithfulness to her muslim religion when she abstains from snacks during the day at the company where she works. True muslims definitely respect this sacrifice and I have two friends, one from India and one from Palestine who follow this fully. Actually since it is Mohammed and not her who is muslim, then by refraining from providing snacks at coffee time she is showing respect for his religion ie showing cultural sensitivity.
