Why is it only possible to induce an extrasystole during relaxation?

    An extrasystole is defined as a contraction that is independent of the normal heart rhythm and which arises in response to an impulse outside the sinoarterial node. Exrasystole occurs only during relaxation because it can not be induced if a person is not relaxed.
