Accountability simply means accepting responsibility and thus account for any activity or decision taken. It is a vital characteristic of a manager. However, one can say transformational leadership is unreal due to the fact that it is a continuous effort and only materializes with time. It tries to create a workplace of motivated individual who are empowered to meet the needs of their customers. This form of leadership relies on consistency and High Performing HCOs adopt this style being that it permits them to measure every performance index and find improvement opportunities. Transformation HCOs always have a list of activities they do and the reasons for engaging in those activities. Thus, empowered employees, when placed in an environment where all processes are detailed, this fosters performance improvement with accountability.
