The City of Boston has contacted your company about privatizing a division of its public healthcare services. Parts of the arrangement would be the receipt of government funding, having some operations take place in government facilities, and closely working with city officials to create and implement programs. Currently, your company adheres to strict background checks and random drug testing of all potential and active employees. Any active employees found to have negative marks on their background or who fail a drug test are immediately terminated. Assuming you decide to enter into the privatization agreement, weigh the options to keep your company in compliance with the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause.

Note that it was The City of Boston not an individual that contacted the company. Because the company currently adheres to strict background check of employees, to be compliant with the 14th Amendment Act the background checks respect the act by not discriminating against individuals based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and other statuses.
