    Then, w x 4 + (1 - w) x 11 = 8.14, which implies that w = 0.4085.

    w x 4 + (11-11w) = 8.14

    - 7W + 11 = 8.14

    7W = 2.86

    w = 0.4085

    Therefore, 0.4085 x $16.4 = $6.7 million in the 5-year bond and

    0.4643 x $12.5 = $5.8 million in the 20-year bond.
