Explain why the Industrial workers of the World (IWW) grew so rapidly and aroused so much opposition.

    They grew rapidly because those workers that were rejected by the AFL were allowed to join the IWW which was composed of immigrants, women, blacks and Chinese.

    They had lots of opposition because they had a leader in William Big Bill Haywood who was considered by his critics to be the most dangerous man in the then America.
