Why do some hurricanes build slower than others?

    It all depends on the temperature of the water where it is headed and the mph winds and how fast it moves for example if a hurricane is moving at 1mph he is going to get bigger by the time it hits land but if a hurricane is going 12mph it will not grow as fast
