Questions about Religion, Race or color, Pregnancy status, Sexual orientation, Citizenship, Disability, etc are unlawful and should not be asked during an interview.

    Explanation:

An employer may not discriminate against a candidate in the United States because of his ethnicity, color, faith, sex (including gender, sexuality, and pregnancy), age, and disability. Federal and state legislation is in place to prevent discrimination in employment.

In United States, Every student who thinks that he or she has behaved inappropriately during the interview will contact OCS (Office of career strategy).

For Example, Marital / Family status:

Illegal: Are you married? You've got kids? If so, what is the childcare you are doing? You expect to have kids shortly? You were ever divorced? Where is your wife working?

Legal: Are you ready and capable to put the overtime needed and/or to travel? Would you like to move?
