    Answer: Adaptation

Explanation: Dr. Milton Bennett in his Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity describes a string of attitudes toward cultural differences with a goal to shift to ethnorelative stages from the ethnocentric. Ethnorelativism assumes the equality and validity of all cultures without judgement using one's own culture as standard.

Leon being able to sympathize with people from other cultures shows he has achieved the adaptation stage of personal diversity wherein people begin to view cultural differences as a valuable resource and consciously adapting their behaviors to the different cultural norms of their environment in other words, showing empathy with those of other cultures.

Leon has achieved the adaptation stage of Personal diversity awareness.

    Explanation:

Personal diversity awareness consists of five stages which are; defense, minimizing differences, acceptance, adaptation and integration.

At the adaptation stage, an individual has come to accept that people behave differently due to their different cultural orientations, and can therefore empathize with people from other cultures different from his or her own.
