    Communication and value

    Explanation:

To maintain focus, control and direction, there is need for regular and clear communication. Each team member needs to know what is expected of them. It is the responsibility of the Project Manager to provide that information at each key step of the project. Most Project managers lack this important skill. Timely communication maintains the morale of the team by providing feedback between upper management and team leaders. Important meetings and events are to be scheduled in advances to keep everyone on the same page.

    Value

Most project managers often misplace benefits for value. Benefits are physical things that are delivered as a result of a project: faster call handling times, increased sales and so on. Value is more about the customer in fact it is customer oriented: being easy to work with, feeling good about the brand, delivering something that works and that people appreciate.

Although, benefits and value go hand in hand. But value is a more important as it relates to how people feel about the end product. You might have delivered something that doesn't meet all the customer's needs but they still value it.

You can make people feel valued during the whole project process by working closely with them. Value bothers the stakeholder more than benefits do.
