The number of children in the group is 8.

    Explanation:

Taking into account the information given we make the following calculations:

Regular fees were $5.500 for each adult and $4.800 for each child, but there is a disccount of 10% because the group is over 10 people. Then after applying this discount fees are $4.950 for each adult and $4.320 for each kid.

There is further information given where we are told that the total paid for the adults were $29.700 and the total paid for children was $4.860 more that the total adults paid. In that order the total amount paid for children was $34.560.

We have now that the total paid for kids was $34.560 and each fee with discount for kids is $4.320 (as we saw previosly). So now we have to divide $34,560/$4.320=8 kids.
