    When a union bargains successfully with employers, in that industry the quantity of labor supplied increases and what is demanded decreases. When the union wins the bargin, more people are going to want to work with the union and complete the job. If the union does not do well in making sure their people are happy, they are less likely to see an increase in the work being done and more people not wanting to work for them.
