    You should ask if its allowed to take the legal pads at work for personal use

    Explanation

    According to work ethics, employees are not allowed to use office stationary for personal uses at home because the material is supposed to serve functions at the office. Taking a legal pad from office without permission can be taken as theft thus should be avoided. Check with the store guy responsible for stationary to allow you take office stationary for home use.

    Make sure that it is okay for you to take some of the legal pads at work home to use. If they are being used for legal work at home, there should be no issue however if they are for personal use, if you aren't allowed to take them after asking, don't. It is wrong to steal from your work place and take items for personal use if that is not allowed.
