Attention-attracting tactics may backfire on an advertiser because they may attrack the attention of the wrong audience or the right, but then they do not keep their interest long enough to actually sell the product or serivce. It is important for an advertiser to do more then just grab their attention but fully 'sell' the product or service to the consumer or the advertising is a waste.
