    Environmental forces are factors that operates outside the business environment hence affect it's operations. Example of such environmental factors are customers, creditors, contractors, competitors - direct forces; socio cultural factors, political factors - indirect forces. etc. These forces could either affect an organization positively or negatively depending on how they are handled.

    Organizations cannot be successful if managers fails to pay attention to forces from the environment because these environmental forces are dynamic hence must be handled professionally.

    Practical examples;

    •Competitors play an important role in determining if a business will succeed. For instance, managers must be well ahead of their competitors in terms of offering product with high value and quality to their customers. The business must also differentiate it's products from that of the competitors.

    • Socio Cultural factors: Managers of businesses must take into cognizance the Socio Cultural factors such as values, customs, local law, language, religion in the environment they operate if the business must succeed.
