Explain the saying "Dress for the position you want, not the position you have" mean?

    It means that if you wanted a higher paying job/a better job, you would dress for that instead of the job that you have. If you dressed for the job you wanted, you would feel inspired to work harder for what you wanted

    This basically means that if you work at a place like mcdonalds for example, but you want a better job, like a business position, dress like you work at a business of higher value.
