The last statement is false. Plenty of high-paying careers do not require a four-year college degree. Just look at basketball players like Blake Griffin or Lebron James, or entertainment superstars like Justin Bieber or Jennifer Lopez.

More seriously, this question is trying to imply that there are plenty of alternatives to traditional four-year college programs that will allow you to further your career. The question feels a little gimmicky if you ask me.
