    Musicians earned a mean $31.94 per hour, as of May 2012, according to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Work for the profession is so irregular that the BLS could not calculate yearly salaries. The lowest-paid 10 percent made a median $8.81 while the highest-paid 10 percent made a median $65.24.
