If a compound contains 8.1 g of nickel and 2.29 g of oxygen, what is the mass percent of nickel in the compound

    The percentage nickel in the compound is calculated as follows

    step one, adding the total mass

    that is 8.1g + 2.29g = 10.39g

    step two, take the percentage of nickel divide total multiply by 100

    that is 8.1/10.39 x100 = 77.95%
