Explain the difference between the reactants and products of a chemical reaction

    Answer : The difference between reactants and products in a chemical species is that the reactants are the chemical species which present in before the reaction occurs; whereas the products are those chemical species in the reaction which are produced only after the reaction.

    For example, Na + Cl - - - > NaCl.

    Here the reactants are Na and Cl as this the species that undergoes reaction.

    And NaCl is the product which is obtained after the reaction process.

    In some case of reaction, the products can undergo into reversible reaction mechanism and produce the reactants again, but generally most of the reactions are unidirectional and are favored by forward direction reaction mechanism.
