Here is the combustion reaction for octane (c8h18), which is a primary component of gasoline. how many moles of co2 are emitted into the atmosphere when 20.6 g of c8h18 is burned?

    C8H18 molar mass = 114.23 g

    18.1/114.23 = 0.15845 mol C8H18

    mol C = 8 (0.15845) = 1.2878 mol CO2
