Why can a silver electrode be used as an indicator electrode for ag and halides?

    The silver electrode is a metal indicator electrode that can be used as measurement. Halides are predominantly salts, and can be electropositive. Ag is the symbol for silver. In this case it will act as a pH measurement, and tell you what the positivity is of the halide.
