When you have a scientific inquiry or scientific problem, you will address it using the scientific method. In one of the steps of the scientific method, you create a hypothesis. A hypothesis is a smart guess you make on the answer of the problem. The next step after this is to test it through experiments. You have to set independent variables and a dependent variable. The independent variable is the one you can manipulate whereas the dependent variable is the one you want to test. You conduct the experiment and gather the results. Once you have the results, you analyze it using statistical tools or any reference to other research studies. From here, you can already give a conclusion and answer whether your hypothesis was right or wrong.
