Light travels at 3.00 x 108 m/s. If the starlight from the Unicorn galaxy takes 1 year 47 days and 2 hours to reach us. How far away is it in kilometers?

    Okay so first you need to convert the time to seconds. There are 3600 seconds in an hour. So we know that theres 7200 seconds in the hours part. There's 4060800 seconds in 47 days. There's 31536000 seconds in a year. So totally you have 35604000 seconds. So you could use proportions to solve it now.

    324/1 = x/35604000

    And solve for x, which would give you the answer in meters. Just convert it to kilometers.
