Hot water kept in a plate cools down faster then kept in a glass?

    It happens so because,

    we know that evaporation is a surface phenomenon. If surface area is increased, the rate of evaporation increases. That's why when we pour hot water in a plate it cools faster.

    If the hot water is in a plate it cool down faster but in a glass it will still be hot it was evaporate
