A physical change is a type of change in which a substance change form but the chemical composition remain the same but a chemical change involves change in chemical composition. From the question given above, the spreading of peanut butter and jelly, the cutting of apple into several slices and the mixing of lemonade powder to water and the melting of ice are all physical changes because no new substance is formed. The toasting of bread is a chemical change because a chemical change occur during the toasting process. Thus, only one chemical change occur in this scenario.
