Which describes an alkaline solution?

    An alkaline solution has a pH of more than 7. A solution with pH less than 7 is an acidic solution whereas a solution with pH equal to 7 is called a neutral solution. pH can be measured through pH meter and a solution can be readily tested in terms of acidity or basicity through litmus paper.
