    Hi!

Claudius Ptolemy was an astronomer who wrote the only surviving ancient treatise on astronomy. He proposed his famous theory on the Almagest. In this model, the Earth was on the center, and the Moon, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and the stars (in that order) were rotating around the Earth.

This famous theory is called the Geocentric Theory (Teoria Geocêntrica in Portuguese).
