    The act of constantly spraying the produce with distilled water by the store is to make the vegetables keep fresh and moist. Now since we know that water vaporizes over time, so we would really expect some water from the carrots to be vaporized out hence resulting in reduction of overall weight of the carrot due to loss of water.
