    Let us say that:

    x = mass of ore

    y = mass of nickel

    Therefore the equation relating the two is:

    0.344x = y

    Now solve for x when y = 30 g:

    0.344 x = 30 g

    x = 87.21 g

    Therefore 87.21 g of ore is needed.
