    the new volume is calculated by use of Boyles law formula

    that is P1V1=p2v2

    v2 = p1v1/p2

    P1 = 720 mmhg

    v1 = 1500ml

    p2 = 2 atm

    V2=?

    convert P2 to mmhg = 2 x760 = 1520 mmhg

    V2 = 720mmhg x1500 ml / 1520mmhg = 710.53 ml
