    Acyl chloride is considered as the most reactive derivative of carboxylic acids. Acetyl chloride when reacted with Butanol produces Butyl Acetate as a Mojor product.

    This reaction is carried out in the presence of pyridine. Pyridine acts as a catalyst. And this catalyst is often used in esterification reactions.
