Propane burns in oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water. What are the chemical formulas of the reactants and products?

    Propane is 3 carbon chain, "di" oxide means two oxygen. Balance the equation by adding coefficients to make the the number of atoms the same on either side.

    Reactants - - - > Products

    C3H8 + 5O2 - - - > 3CO2 + 4H2O
