A sample of inert gas has an initial volume of 5.6 L at a pressure of 735 mm Hg. If the volume of gas is increased to 9.4 L, what is its pressure?

    The pressure of inert gas if the volume of gas is increased to 9.4l is calculated using P1v1 = P2 V2 formula where p is for pressure while is for volume

    P1 = 735 mm hg

    v1 = 5.6 L

    V2 = 9.4 L

    P2 = ?

    from the formula above P2 = P1V1 / V2

    p2 = 735mmhg x5.6 L / 9.4l = 437.87 mmhg
