    Given,

    The specific heat capacity (c) of iron skillet is 0.449 J / g °C.

    Mass of iron skillet, m = 37 g

    Temperature difference, T = (240-80) °C

    =160 °C

    Now using formula,

    Heat (Q) = c * m * T

    = 0.449 J / g °C * 37 g * 160°C

    = 2658 J

hence heat absorbed by 37g iron skillet when temperature rises form 80 to 240 degree Celsius is 2658 Joules.
