    The volume of gas that exerts a pressure of 457 mmhg if exerted a pressure of 2.50 atm when its volume was 25.0ml is calculated as follows

    by use of Bolyes law formula that is P1V1=P2V2

    P1 = 457mmhg

    V1=?

    P1 = 2.50 atm = 2.50 x760 = 1900mmhg

    V2 = 25,0 ml

    V1 from the formula above = P2V2/P1

    = 1900mm hg x25 ml / 457 mm hg = 104 ml
