How many milliliters of a stock solution of 5.00 m hcl would you have to use to prepare 1.00l of a 0.0800 m hcl?

    M1*V1 = M2*V2

    M1 is the initial molarity = 5M

    V1 is the initial volume we want to find

    M2 is the final molarity = 0.08M

    V2 is the final volume = 1L

    Substitute with these givens in the above equation to get the volume as follows:

    V1 = 0.016L = 16 ml
