    The new volume is calculated using the Boyles law formula

    that is P1V1=P2V2

    P1 = 749 torr

    V1=2.2 L

    P2=629 torr

    V2=?

    V2 is therefore = P1V1/P2

    = (747 torr x 2.2 L) / 629 torr = 2.62 L
