What causes acid rain is it hydroelectric energy is it fossil fuels or is it geothermal energy

    When sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide they burn fossil fuels, such as coal, to produce electricity. The exhaust from cars, trucks, and buses releases nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide into the air and these pollutants cause acid rain.
