    Let's say in the case of sodium chloride, when NaCl is added to water, a strong attraction exist between ions in NaCl and water molecules, the sodium ions and chloride ions then leave the crystal and enters the water. the sodium and chloride ions is surrounded by water molecule and is said to be saturated.
