I think Thermodynamics is the aspect of a substance that contributes to a high or a low entropy. Entropy is the measure of chaos or disorder in a closed system. Entropy can be changed by a number of factors, for example, changing to a higher temperature increase entropy, change of states from solid to liquid and from liquid to gas causes changes in entropy, more bonds in a substance increases entropy, among other factors.
