If the half-life of a radioactive substance is 2 seconds, how much of a 100-gram sample would be left after 8 seconds?

    M₀=100 g

    T=2 s

    t=8s

    m=m₀/{2^ (t/T) }

    m=100/{2^ (8/2) }=100/2⁴=6.25 g
