    According to P formula:

    P = H ρ g

    when it is supported by atmospheric pressure

    ∴ P = atmospheric pressure = 1.01x10^5 N/m^2

    H is the hight of the column

    and when ρ is the density Kg/m^3 = 1.483g/Cm^3 = 1483Kg/m^3

    g is the gravitational acceleration = 9.8Kg. m/S^2

    so by substitution:

    ∴H = (1.01x10^5) / (1483 * 9.8)

    =6.9 m

    Pressure of liquids can be calculated using the following equation;

    P = hρg

    where h is the height of the liquid column

    ρ - density of the liquid (kgm⁻³)

    g - gravitational acceleration (ms⁻¹)

    The column is supported by atmospheric pressure which is equal to 101 325 Pa

    substituting the values in the equation

    101 325 Pa = h x 1483 kgm⁻³ x 9.8 ms⁻²

    h = 7.0 m
