    Coupling reaction such as hydrolysis of ATP provide the energy needed to run an endergonic reaction.

    Explanation:

    The endergonic reactions are non spontaneous and thermodynamically unfavorable because the free energy change for those reactions are positive.

    To make this reaction spontaneous and thermodynamically favorable the reaction which is endergonic is coupled with hydrolysis of ATP that generate huge amount of free energy thus making the free energy change of the overall reaction negative.
